We're a Family Team
Education is a collaborative effort - administration, faculty, staff, parents & students all work together to create an atmosphere of trust, acceptance and mutual respect so that learning can take place on many levels. All parents are welcome to share their time & talents with our students to enrich their learning environment and help build upon our parish community.
Volunteers always welcome
During each school year there are always plenty of events taking place and we're always looking for volunteers. Volunteering helps with interpersonal skills, such as understanding people better, motivating others, and dealing with difficult situations. Volunteering also helps teach your child that it's important to help out in the community to make our communities better places to live and work.
Beginning in the 2008-2009 school year, all volunteers at Saint Joan of Arc School need to be in compliance with the requirements of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This includes registering in the Diocesan database, reading and signing the Code of Pastoral Conduct, applying and receiving Child Abuse and Criminal Record Check clearances and attending the Protecting God’s Children workshop. Please visit VIRTUS Online for a list of workshop times at surrounding parishes. A copy of your proof of attendance should be sent to the school office. Forms to request clearances are in this packet and cost $10 each. If this would pose a hardship to you, please contact Mrs. Davis and arrangements will be made. Please note that original clearances must be on file in the school office. Copies of the Code of Pastoral Conduct are in the office. Each volunteer has his or her own file with this documentation in the school office.
If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Davis.
